This series of critical workshops in the social sciences is interdisciplinary, though focussed on political economy. Participation from humanities and the social sciences is welcome. Expertise or specialisation in economics is not required; the aim is to encourage is the open-minded exchange of ideas between active researchers in neighbouring fields. The emphasis is on heterodox and innovative thinking. The format is flexible and informal; the main aim is to provide a forum to discuss fundamental concepts and methodology in the social sciences, by critically examining work in progress. Additional sessions may be scheduled on an ad-hoc basis and scheduled sessions may on occasion be moved to accommodate this; participants will be informed of changes by e-mail and on our web-site. The web-site will also be used to distribute reading material, as and when required. It will be accessible from www.greenwich.ac.uk/~fa03.
